Automobiles in Germany's City Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Officers mentioned they were contacted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Approximately 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement state they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered many other vandalized vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; investigators are presently not aware of any injuries in relation with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials stated they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the public for details.

An important representative stated the attack made him speechless and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, mentioning the death of nine people by a shooter targeting individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
